Today I want to take you on a journey into the way my mind works through a series of photographs I’ve taken over the last few weeks (except for the last one). I’m not saying it will be pretty, in some cases, but it will give you an idea of the twists and turns my mind takes when I see things that I think, “Hey, I have to take a photograph of THAT.”
So without further adieu:
Okay, so now you know that my mind works like Beavis and Butthead sometimes.
Another example: “Bun-length wieners” which is what read on the label on the shelf at the supermarket:
For some reason, that sounded perverse to me.
Right near the “bun-length wieners” were these atrocities:
They looked wrong (sorry, that’s the only word of which I can think to describe them right now) to me and my wife, who pointed them out to me.
On the way out of the supermarket we saw this on the bulletin board:
I don’t know why this struck me funny, except maybe when I was a kid, we had a burn barrel in our backyard that was ancient and almost every single one that I’ve seen since then in the backyards of poor white trash, like our family was at the time (my parents are slightly richer white trash now, by the way, in that the outhouse now has satellite TV), were “used” beyond recognition. Most of the time, the burn barrels looked like they were steel drums from toxic waste dumps, and probably were.
Why spend $12 on one when you can go get one for nothing at some place like this?
As always, click on the photos for bonus links, but don’t worry, or maybe I should say, moooooog35, sorry, no pornographic links included.

You really are strange…both of you.
What bothered me most about those ‘Full Circle’ dogs was their…paleness.
I’ll say no more.
I agree, those All-Natural hot dogs ARE wrong. You have definitely inspired me to carry my camera along every time I leave the house now.
Hey, I love your new look here!
Yeah, those hot dogs are waaaay wrong. I don’t always have a camera with me, but I’ve learned when I don’t, that’s when the opportunity usually arises.
As for the new look, thanks…and again, sorry about the lateness of my response here. For some reason, your comments got kicked into spam, but I salvaged them from the abyss. Whew.
