As for Doubt, don’t be scared of the subject matter. It’s not what you think. In terms of a seemingly bleak subject matter, it reminds me of The Shawshank Redemption, the first time I heard of that, I thought: “I don’t want to see that. It’s a prison rape movie.” But I was wrong, so wrong, and really enjoyed the movie…not that Doubt turns out all roses, but still don’t be scared away. The Lives of Others: It’s too brilliant not to see. :)

I do have La Vie en Rose on my Netflix list, as well as Man on Wire and Frost/Nixon. I haven’t decided yet whether I want to watch Doubt or The Lives of Others. I have not read Agatha Christie yet, either. I know I should, though.
