Sign sign everywhere a sign

So the last time I left you, I was talking about signs, remember? Just how silly signs can be. On Sunday, as my wife and I were driving back from a friend’s 40th birthday party, I suddenly saw a sign that struck me odd for some reason: “Burlington Township Building Permits Required.” I even commented to my wife on it: “How many people suddenly decide as they’re driving by, ‘Hey, you know what, I wanted to build a shed right here on the side of the road, but now I can’t?’” Or in other words, as I’m driving by, why do I care about building permits being required in this particular municipality? Just something to think about…
